We are devastated to report that on 20th April 2022, there was a serious fire at our beautiful church. Until further notice, all services, including Baptisms and Funerals, will be held in the St John’s Centre on the opposite side of the road, post code ST4 6QD. St John the Evangelist Church is one of three churches which form the Benefice of Hartshill, Penkhull and Trent Vale in Stoke-on-Trent.

St John’s is a friendly Anglican Church situated on the main A34 between Newcastle and Hanford. The congregation come from many different walks of life and Christian backgrounds.We aim to support and help one another on our journey of faith. Our main weekly service is held at 10.00am on Sundays, and Morning Worship at 10am on Wednesdays. For full details and other information, please click on the link below.

All services are easy to follow as they are projected on the big screen, along with the scripture readings, and hymns. A mixture of tradition and modern worship music is played.
